Are internships really important for resume?
And where to find good internships? Are the ones on sites like internshala really genuine?

Yes they are important but not really necessary.On internshala they are genuine but many of them are just people passing on their work to students and getting it done for free. But yes the ones which are genuine you can make out. The ones from various colleges etc. But actually all the genuine internships except the virtual ones are for more than a month which our college doesn't allow. So u should definitely try through your contacts. That would be really nice if u can get an actual industry experience through contacts. But otherwise you can do a virtual one also. In the end it's only the knowledge that matters. Be it an internship or a course on coursera.
